Why I've chosen this band. MONDBLUT suddenly appeared in my CD collection and I never figured out where it came. After I heard the CD just one time I consider this as one of the best releases I ever heard.
The Music. It's weird. Even on a sunny day you start to shut out the sun from your room. Everything what has meant fun to you fades out and you suddenly are in the world of MONDBLUT. But first things first.
I really thought long time this one is a Black Metal CD, but it isn't. MONDBLUT plays some kind of electronic music with extraordinary sounds and very excellent compositions. When a song starts a flow of music begins and you cannot stop or skip the song. It's like a river of darkness.
All compositions give you a very sad and depressive feel. This has been done with slight variations, echoes, voices, tears and everything of that stuff. I never heard compositions again which touched my heart so intense. Everything here is electric and with exception of voices, no accustic instruments can be heard. Since everything is composed so well you will not worry about that. Lyrics are part of the music and every composition could also be named a poem.
The Mixdown. Mix is perfect. Since several years have passed while this composition growed I have expected this. That lad who recorded this issue must have spent months for mixing that down. Everything is in a deep melancholic room. He really knows how to pan and how to integrate the several sounds. Great job.
The Layout. It's a dark room on the front cover and hell, it's fitting so perfect. If you put the coverartwork out of its box, you'll see its very gothic like. Several artworks on a big black and thick paper. Great stuff. Lyrics are in it. These lyrics are so poetic and dreamy... thank god they are included. At the end the CD is a complete artwork - everything is a masterpiece.
Some final words. This is the best CD of depressive music which I ever heard. Honestly, nobody will create music which touches your soul more. Nobody will come and bring you more depression than MONDBLUT. It's the perfect soundtrack for your suicide. I really think MONDBLUT is underrated. They have no website and seem to play music for themself only. I even don't have a name or anything. I had to contact the labels for new music. No Ads anywhere.
